Chances are hes either just about to, or has already just shed. They go off their food and tend to hide just before and just after. Hell come out when his shell is good and hard and he feels safe again

ahhhh i never fort of that 1 ......spose it makes sence now why its hiding so much.........not seen any exo round the tank yet but will sure keep my eyes peeled.

He probably already ate it! LOL or others finished it off for him.
Jauque my cleaner always disapears for about 3 days around molt time, wont eat and just hangs around the back. I rarely see his shed as he always troughs it before I switch on the lights at lunch time. I just know he has shed by his size and behaviour, oh and he grows back bits like antenna that have got bitten /snapped off too
Dont forget to leave in any shed to be eaten

well guess what i found on the tank first thing when the lights come on this morning......you guessed it....a large piece of its exo with the antennas on sitting right at the front of the tank....and just fed them and he come out of his cave enought to get a little food so its looking good.

been spending again today brough my first anenomie or how ever u spell it sorry, a green star polyp frag and a big frag it is and then got a little scooter blenny.

sorry about picture quality as i cant find digital camera someone has hidden it up so will get some taken with it soon as but until then heres a few from my camera phone.

firstly a pic of my green star polyp frag....though its huge and i got it for £22.50.....and its only been in the tank an hour when the pic was taken so thats why its hiding up.

quick question about the anenomie would u say its in an alrite place as thats where it attached it self...only about 1 3rd of it is exposed to any light....would it be a gd idea to maybe place it where the pulsing xenia is

will gte some pics of the scooter soon aswell as its a little fast moving for the phone cam.

dude you really dint buy an anemone did you?

your tank has only been running for around 1 month?

This isnt your first marine tank is it?

You should really look into what you buy before you buy it, I know its hard really I know it is, but you gotta slow down, anemone's are not really easy to keep. and the lighting is a little low for it but it may be ok, what are you feeding it??


Im really sorry to sound like I putting you down but I gotta be honest I am new to marine fish keeping and I only recently got my anemone my tank is nearly 81/2 months old and I really planned it all from the beggining.

buy some books as many as you can afford and do a lot of googling cause you gotta work at keeping it

my tanks been set up a little longer than a months its now 5 1/2 months and yes i did buy an anemone but i feel totaly confident that my tanks stable to keep it...as for the lighting i currently have 76watts of t5 bulbs 1 x daylgith blue and 1 x actanic. and feeding it ime going to see how it is one the diet i have my fish one whcih consists of brime shrimp, flakes, dried shrimp, krill and frozen octapus. going to see how it feeds when the food is placed in the tank and left to be moved around the water by powerheads etc and not target feeding but i will do so if nessesary.

but be assured if i start to come across any problems i will swallow my pride and return it to the LFS but hopefully i will not have to do anything of the sort.

i originall had the tank set up in a 12 gallon and shortly got this tank and trafsfered it to this one along with all the water and contents from the tank. The anemone looks fine today its worked its way to the top of the rocks now to get in a good position for being well lit and it ate perfectly fine tonight.

like i said before if i start to come unstuck i will return it immediatly.
