Any opinions on Melafix? Will it help or not? I, personally, think it is magic in a bottle..

Melafix in only an antiseptic treatment. Cuts and wounds.
No good for internal bacteria infections.

Epson salt baths.
Isolate and use an internal bacteria medication.
Feed some shelled peas.
Once scales start to lift, last stage or dropsy, organ failure.

Hey Lovelies!!!

Anyone watch Boardwalk Empire?? It was especially graphic last night..

Yeah, we watch Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, True Blood, etc. Good stuff, but last season was better, so far anyway.

I came home from school and Oscar has pretty bad stress lines, should I do a big water change every day? and after I do a water change should I add more salt and internal bacteria medication?

I would do like 50% water changes and only add enough salt to replace what's been taken out. Too much salt could be bad.
Good luck, we're pulling for you.

Hey lovelies!

Meet the Mummichug! Or, the common killifish. It's a native species here in Maryland, found in coastal marshes, rivers, and lakes. The most indestructible fish! Can be either freshwater, brackish, or saltwater. It's common name is native american for "they go in great numbers"
I had the privilege of going on an Eco Field Trip to the Chesepeake Bay. They had a large aquarium, maybe 55 gallons? Anyway, we went out to the bay and caught ourselves some fish for the tank! It had water, substrate, and plants pulled from right out of the Bay. We had pipefish, mummichugs, and shrimp. It was awesome! One of the councilors had a favorite Mummichog, he called his "Chug" :p If I ever go brackish or marine, one of these is a must!

 :fun: I love the first picture, where you can see their iris color! :good: Great pic!

My loaches are all Pangio myersii, the Giant Kuhli Loach, except Luna, she's a Pangio semicincta. It explains why she's the shyest, because she's the only of her species.

It appears you yourself have got some Pangio semicincta, which are just plain old Kuhli Loaches :fun:
