Actually I was doing one final sweep on amazon and found a dual aqueon T5 that will fit in my hood, looks nicer, with it's sleek design, has 2 HO T5 bulbs included, and the bulbs are made special for the fixture and are 28 or 29 inches long! That's what sold me. Oh and it's 36 watts. So I will purchase it.

Hey Lovelies!

It seems my new Paradise Fish is a girl! She's starting to show a big belly & similar shape/girth to my female Opaline Gourami. I've already noticed that her fins aren't very long like they should be for a male, but I figured maybe it was due to the fish being so young. I'm kinda glad it's a girl since they're supposed to be a lot less aggressive.

I got this 5.5 gallon tank for my son's friend for $10. on craigslist:

It's gonna be a Betta tank, just needs a filter, heater, thermometer, and maybe a white bulb instead of the blue incandescent bulb that's in it. Maybe I can get him a florescent bulb............that fits in that fixture?

You should make your own filter out of a water bottle an air pump and and some filter media..

It'll change your life..
