Hey Lovelies... One of my new platies is about ready to explode Her belly hasn't squared off yet though - It's kind of at an angle, it goes downwards from her backside to unherneath her head... waiting for her to become a swimming cube before I trap her.

My 4 remaining platy fry are doing great, growing quickly!

Hey Lovelies! Happy Friday!

Hey lovelies! Finally got to see the rescued betta and harlequins. The rasboras are a treat, they are great schoolers and the others have taken to them well. Mr. Fishy the glofish has started to school with them!

Alpha the Betta has never been better. His fins are still a shredded mess, he looks like a plakat but he's a halfmoon. He's active, but really shy. When you walk past, or lean in for a closer look he zips off under the almond leaves or moss ball to hide. Hopefully the leaves and stresscoat+ and good ol' tlc and clean water will prevent infection and a speedy recovery. Sometime next week we will get black sand, more plants, some bogwood, and cherry shrimp for the tank.

Wow, great save! Looks more like a Crowntail though, or is that just because the fins are tattered? Either way he looks great and he'll probably color up even better after he settles in. Good luck.

He was a halfmoon when they bought him....That's what poor water and poor diet does to a fish

Hey Lovelies!!!


I've only managed to save one fry in the last few days.. My Betta is well fed I tells you..

I've had at least four births this week..

One batch of fry got eaten up by mom.. it was her first batch..

more cory eggs today. managed to saved 2... by the time i found a tub the platys had demolished them all again. evidence of around 15 eggs though


how often can corys drop eggs?

i also noticed my german rams playing kiss chase too....

What kind of Rams? Lucky either way.........I have a pair in a 20 gallon & he chases her a lot but I never see any eggs.
