The Official "hey Lovelies" Thread 2

Thanks, I'm still not really over losing this particular fish, it's like losing a good family dog to me.  I'm not going to replace him anytime soon either, it wouldn't be right.  Maybe after my old female Opaline dies.  I've had her the longest of any of our fish so I know she's on borrowed time.

Looks like I'll be swapping the Cherry Barbs in my 36 gallon tank for the Rosy Barbs in the 20 high.  The Rosy's are just too big for the 20 gallon and then I can up their number by a pair at least.

Hey Lovelies!!!

Off to the farm in a few.. the mrs and I bought a share of a farm in Charlton. For 400 buck I got twenty weeks of seven pound of organic produce.. eating mainly that this summer, I managed to lose aboot 30 pounds (60 kilo's for our metric speaking brethren)..

ever has a Shiro Plum??

they're guda, as in wery, wey guda

Hey Lovelies!!!  Thank God for Backup filters!!!

We just cleaned the Rena XP2 filter on our 20 gallon high after more than 6 months of trouble free operation, and of course the motor head wouldn't get going............

Luckily I have another XP2 so we just swapped heads and bang zoom, back in business!  After some extensive cleaning of the impeller assembly on the original unit I was able to get it going.  It must've been pretty bad for it not to fire up though.  It sure gave us a scare.  Now it will serve as the backup.

Now we have to clean out the XP3's on the 36 & 55 gallon tanks and we don't have an extra XP3.  Good thing we have that extra XP2 though, we can always transfer the media to the smaller filter if we should have any problems.

Too be continued...................

Hey Lovelies!!!

Watched The Pat destroy Chi town today.. Then I watched Dale Jr win at Martinsville finally.. Good to see him win seeing Dale Sr tore that track up for years..

Now I am not sure what I am going to watch.. Nuckie comes on at nine, final episode tonight for boardwalk.. I cannot watch violence anymore on the tee-wee.. I think I am finally turning into a hippy..

Had blueberries for breffus, skipped lunch and had squash and tomatoes for dinner..

Hey Lovelies!!!

Weighed in at 213 this morning. Hasn't weighed under 225 for at least 10 years.. When my wife and I moved in together she made me quit smoking cigarettes.. When I did I gained aboot 60 pounds.. Well the drinking and munching out almost nightly sure dint help either..

now, I must keep it off.. That will be the trick..

Good for you Hammy, but keep in mind that meat is good for you.  It's the breads that'll kill ya!  That's my kryptonite, I love me some good bread.

lol while you've been losing weight I hit a growth spurt. grew 6 inches and gained 40 pounds in about a year. almost 6', 160 lbs. just about 16.

hey lovelies!

welcome to november! it was snowing here last night, haven't seen that in an October in awhile! but november is gonna be great. birthday in 2 weeks, license in 3, thanksgiving in 4!

Hey Lovelies!  Happy B'Day to me yesterday.

We completely cleaned out (2) of our canister filters, an XP3  currently running on our 36 gallon, and an XP2 on a 20 high.  They were disgusting but we did a thorough job.  I also removed that nasty Chinese Algae Eater and added a Siamese instead.  My father took the CAE for one of his tanks.  He said he'll take the (11) Pristella Tetras & the big fat Bristlenose Pleco we have in the 20 gallon too.  I'm trying to lower the bio load in my heavily overstocked tanks - I have a plan..............

We've move the (6) Glass Catish from the 36 to the 20 and put the Rosy Barbs from the 20 into the 36 gallon and up their numbers to (6).  I'm also considering moving the (10) Threelined Corries from the 55 gallon to the 20.

Only then will we achieve pure harmony in our tanks...................to be continued.

Thanks!  The Pristella Tetras are the next to move, everything in good time.  :)

Hey Lovelies!!!

I'm helping my father pick up a tank today, a 6 foot monster with a beautiful cabinet, LED light fixtures, glass tops & 2 high end Eheim canister filters.  He's giving me the cabinet since he has one of his own already, so I'll be in the market for a 6 footer myself in the very near future.

Pics to follow............
