I had to adjust a Fluke 8920 True RMS Meter. Guess what failed performance verification today? Low level DC voltage!! Kind of ironic that dc would fail on an rms meter.. Ha..

Someone is selling (3) large Turquoise Rainbowfish in a local fish site classified section.  I may be adding them to Zach's 55 gallon Rainbow tank since they're of similar size and likely 1 male 2 females.  Nice mix with what we have...............

Thanks Mof, it's actually just an "overflow" tank of sorts for fish & plants that don't do well in the other tanks.

Bad news
 
My awesome, perfect Pearl Gourami male died today.  This morning my wife found him on the floor outside the tank not moving.  I quickly picked him up and put him back in the tank and he moved very slightly, but he was clearly in bad shape.  I left him in the tank while I went to work but he was dead when I got home.

He jumped ship.  It's my fault too, I had a lid on the tank but the front of the "bow" isn't covered.  I thought it was fine that way since 80% was covered and Pearls aren't known to be jumpers.  I was wrong.  Something probably spooked him during the night.  Who knows how long he was out of the water.

He lived a long life, I had him myself for at least 3 years and he was probably around a year old when I got him.  Still doesn't change the fact that I feel guilty.

I'll post some tribute pictures in this thread when I get a chance, but right now I have to fish him out of the tank.

Took my daughter to Thompson Motor Speedway yesterday for her first race.. She lasted aboot 1.5 hours which isnt bad for a four year old..
 
Saw a bunch of qualifying races, missed the modifieds qualling, oh well.. I am going to the track today for 3pm.. should be sick..

so sorry to hear about your gourami ruskull
at this point that would be like me losinf my yellow tang. I've had him since the start of the tank. he was the 2nd fish in only days after the firefish but he's much more interesting. now I've had him about 18 months or so.
