Okay Lovelies, 'Just had an impulse buy today and ended up bringing home 4 Australian Rainbows and 1 Bosemani Rainbow to add to my son's 55 gallon.   I know, Rainbows need to be in larger con specific groups, but this Bosemani was a spectacular specimen and he was the only one available.  We plan to get more Boseman's Ranbows in the very near future but we'll wait for the good bacteria to keep up with the added bio load.
 
Anyway we added them earlier today and so far so good, they're hanging out with the 3 Turquoise Rainbows as we speak.  I'll see if I can get some pictures up in a little bit............

I have to fix the ballast in one of my light fixtures, a Coralife Aqualight 30 inch unit that looks great but is tough to take apart correctly.  it isn't rocket science but the make the stuff so small & tight that it's hard to get to the bad ballast, never mind install the new one and reassemble it correctly.  To top it off the price for the ballast is $20 but the shipping is like another $14............gonna hafta bite the bullet and make it happen.  
 
Oh, and really bad, blurry Rainbow pictures are coming up...........

New Rainbows!  So fast they're a blur in most of these pictures but you get the point, the biggest one is a Turquoise that's about 3 inches long furthest to the right :
 

Here's a pretty decent pic of the color of the Turquoise, this one's about 2.5 inches long:
 

This is a horrible picture but you can see the Bosemani (with the yellow tail) in the middle surrounded by 4 Australian Rainbows and an X-Ray Tetra, the female Gold Gourami to the left, the 3 inch Turquoise below and the female Platinum Gourami all the way to the right:

Started looking at new wehicles to replace my 2003 VW Jetta TDI.. She has over 280,000 miles on her right now.. Check engine light came on two days ago, took it in fer diagnostics and I has an error code fer the number two cylinder glow plug.
 
It's 230 bucks for part and install.
 
 
Fer SAG I was checking out the Beemers and fell in luzz with the BMW328d with x-drive.. Looking at over 43K for this car.. I am also looking at Audi's too.. They're not selling A-3's in the USA with diesel engines this year. I found a 2012 with 36K miles on it for 31K.. But I heard that both Audi and VW will introduce a diesel with all wheel drive in 2015 for the US market.. I might wait to see what that car is all aboot...

Audi diesel is no joke, they win races with their version of the diesel motor.  Obviously you aren't looking at a race car for your next vehicle but who wins races with a diesel motor against standard combustion motors?

Hey Lovelies!  I finally caught the little Cory I found when I was cleaning out the canister filter!  I propped up a net and kept a close eye on him until he basically caught himself.  He seems to be doing well so far in the larger tank with the other (9) Three Lined Corries.  He's now almost an inch long, which is around twice as big as when I first found him.

Bought an autographed copy of blazin' Texas' album last night at the mall. Lol he said he's gonna be te next big thing so for $10 I figured why not if he does get famous it'll be worth more than $10 haha
