The Best Of Aquabid

If I could ask two questions:

1) are all of those different colours really natural?
2) is there anything like aquabid available in the UK?

The reason why I ask both of these questions is that all I can find so far (on & offline) are the Siamese fighters (blue/red).

No they arent natural, they are bred and in some cases engineered to be those colours.

The coloration of these bettas is about as 'natural' as the different colors you get in domestic dogs or cats - natural in the sense that they occur naturaly but unatural in the sense that people breed them, selecting the nicest colors from each spawn, to breed even more.

None are 'engineered' unless you are talking about hybridization with 'wild' betta species (which isn't what I'd call 'engineering').

If by natural/not natural, mikeb2k2001, you were concerned over whether they might be 'dyed' - they are all natural :)

Im pretty sure he was asking if they were dyed. Which like sylvia has said, they are not.

I just started going to aquabid but I already wish I had never heard of the place b/c it's driving me crazy that I can't get any of the purdy fish! lol
I would be tempted to bid on one, but the whole transhipper thing confuses me.. and sounds expensive :p rofl

Here are some I and bf like (think I'm turning him into a betta lover :p)....

This is one bf said if he had it, or found one that looked like it, he would get another tank for (which is a huge statement considering he doesn't want anymore tanks lol)
