to be honest, i sucked out at least 6 dead or dying fry tonight, was a bit sad after 6 weeks was one after the other, water stats are fine dont think i want to try breeding any more

Also lost my male Metae from its breeding trio leaving 2 females spotted him on the bottom dead as a dodo no idea what got to him, never got any fin nipping from the Tiger barbs in the whole time i've been watching them.

It is heartbreaking when you lose the fry,let alone adults

Could it have been from the nitrite spike you had in the fry tank?

I've lost many a fry over time and it doesn't get easier when they go,so i'm chuffed everyday i check my babes and they're still with me (touch wood)

I think sometimes its destined to happen,thats why they have so many in the first place.

yeah was probably the spike or them being delayed shock/stress of being splattered all over the floor a few weekends ago

all the rest seem ok though, hoping not to find too many more, i can accept there will always be some that just dont make it, even if i end up with a 50% survival rate im going to be happy
