so i am finally upgrading my 60L tank this week or next  i have 2 options

a Fluval roma 200 with all the trimmings

a Boyu tz 1000 with trickle filter but i will add an internal U4

opinions please ? i am unsure on  complete speccs of these tank

ideally id like a nice planted tank so please take into consideration lighting

Just going on looks alone, the fluval with cabinet looks better IMO. The Boyu has bigger capacity, but a lot of that comes from the extra height  42*17*33 compared to 39*17*24 for the Fluval.

yea its an extra 50L but its just due to the height of the tank

any ou get us dimensions the type of filter what media what sort of décor your thinking of and what fish you like

I'd go for the Roma, I like them, can't be faffed with in-hood filters.  Although having said that I personally like the extra height.

Personally, I'd go for the Fluval Roma 200 and matching cabinet.

I have had the Roma 90, very good tank and never had a problem whatsoever.

The only thing i would change, is rather than using a U4 filter, its very good and does exactly what its supposed to do but its rather bulky and takes up space inside the tank, spoiling the look in the tank a little imo.

So perhaps would suggest speaking to whichever store staff and ask about exchaning the U4 for a external filter, a Fluval 306 for example, and paying the slight differrence in prices. Am sure something coud be sorted. Unless of course the package includes an external filter ;)
