Tank Update With Pics :)

thanks :)

Tried to get pics tonight but nothing any good, they are just so fast and the Nic seems to be on somewhat of a rampage - Saw her nip Lilly my big Sev tonight and Lilly got really angry but didnt realise who it was but if the Nic gets caught.... that is not going to end well.

Really going to have to watch her as she grows because she really is quite nippy.

yeah..... she might setle down though - it will only take one snap back from one of the big fish to sort her out. The Geophagus are getting annoyed now and the big male does fight back - its just usual Nic stuff as soon as someone stands up to her she will get back in her box....

Abit like Thorichthys then... I find they usually set off fights between other fish then run and hide.

Ahaha!! Finally got some half decent pics of the blighters!!

Will post soon

Those fish you got there Wills are sweet

Might have to take a trip up to wharf one day, sounds like a pretty good lfs,

Here we go :) They are really hard to photograph!! Still quite small and move really really fast these are the best I got out of dozens of others. I got a lucky shot of one of my Geos as well :)

Not doing bad for 2 weeks, the Mixteco has taken a bit of a beating but is a really lovely fish no questions about her but if anyone one wants the Nicaraguan :/ Id be tempted to move her on already and as I have learned the hard way (the very hard way) if in doubt take it out.... So if anyone is interested and can take her let me know...

My lucky shot of one of my Geos I think this is my larger female (but it could be my sub male)

All of them could be FOTM!!!

And WOW!! How much has 'Elsie 2' coloured up? Blimey.

And Goldie is certainly beautiful indeed. How can you tell she is a she?

Hmmm rather not call her Elsie 2 tbh :/

I was told in Wharf that the females get spots in the dorsal fins and the males dont? Which I think I had heard for other species is that not the case?

thanks :)

Never heard of that mate, but nice to know. :)

Sorry for the name. Was unsure how else to describe her. Maybe Michaela Tyson?

lovely pictures bud, bet you took a fair few, im guessing the nic is being a pita. I always thought they wasn't quite peacefully. how bad has yours been?

For two weeks in your tank, they have both coloured up lovely. Is the new female Nic picking out specific tankmates, or is she stirring trouble with everyone?

The nic is now terrible with everyone but her main target is the Mixteco Gold :/ but now its just everyone.

Thanks for the comments guys :) Really pleased with how they have come on in the time span.

Next plans for the tank are rehome my remaining Lemon Tetras and track down a group of quality Hemiodus :)

Wills

Hemiodus sounds nice, not seen many of them around before, are you getting the red tails?

I would if been tempted to take the nic off you but if she's not getting on with a Mixteco she won't get on with my group of elliotis.
