Tank Mates For My Rtbs

hey guys ive looked into rehoming my RTBs but unfortunatly the pet shops wont take him so looks like im stuck with him for the long run. so i was looking for a schooling fish that will get on with my golden gourami.

current stock

1 golden gourami
1 red tailed black shark
2 upside down catfish

temporarily this tank also has one tiger barb and 5 babie bristle noses which will be moved into another tank over the next few weeks

was thinking about adding a female golden gourami and another upside down cat and a small school of somthing. thoughts are greatly apreciated.?
ps the barb is the last of 10 the shark likes to play chase with them so tigers are out

so thats like 30gallons anyways was thinking about adding a pair of Kribs and a another female gourami so that would be like

2xgolden gourami
2xKribensis
3xupside down cats
1x REd Tailed black shark

any thoughts or previous experiances with any of these fish would be greatly aprecitated

i had a similar setup with blue spot gouramis instead of goldens, and my kribs and the albinno's, i had no problems, but my rtbs is quite placid in comparison with a lot of peoples so.................

kk thanks im going to the pet shop hopefully this weekend so ill get my female gourami first then see how she goes then get the kribs later on thanks for all your help so far

I would get honey gourami rather than golds as golds get about 5 inchs and in a 30g with a shark and 2 kribs already might be a bit much with territory or just stick with one gold? Cats sound nice in there and a shoal of 8 tiger barbs or 8 black ruby barbs would be as well

hmm ill have a look at the honeys. tiger barbs are a no go the sharks killed a school of them already. those ruby barbs are amazing they are probz the best looking barbs ive seen but my guess is that the shark will take em out. thats a lot to think about ill look into the honeys and has any one got a pair of them any info would be great.

says is the honey gourami section that they must be kept with peacful fish as they are very shy so i guess thats them out

right think ive finally desided have been looking into the upside down cats and they are suposed to be kept in shoals of 3 + so finall stocking list will probz be

2x golden gourami
1x RTBS
5x upside down cats

any thoughts would be great ps wanted to link photos of my current fish how do i do that the atach buttons gone walk abouts??

you will hardly see the upside downers, they hide away all the time
so if you are looking for fish you will see..........................
