Tank Lid

I have a problem with my Light on a tank bought in LiDL. Ballast has gone so I need to source a new lid or does anyone know if the sealed unit can be removed and a new one put in. Cost is the real issue as i have priced new lids and the cost is nearly more than the tank cost. Any help is welcome

Is it the electric ballast itself which is broken? Why don't you just replace that?

Ballast and wiring is in a sealed unit which when broken makes the whole thing usless
