The fish that are probably in the pics are my white clouds they are very nosey lol

Which part is tacky?
I would have but cant find any sand atm but im looking, apparently there is something called zambezi which is a sand/very fine gravel mix but cant find any

it does look a bit like a childs tank.... but if you like it then thats all that matters, isnt it?
i have the zambezi sand/gravel in my tank and it looks really great, i got mine from maidenhead aquatics near leicester so if there is a maidenhead near you then im sure they will do it....
i actually got too much and have some left over but if your not local to me then it would be pretty costly to post.....!!!

Yeah true we do have a maidenhead near us and i need to see if they have mts lol and plants, might have a look for more normal caves or mb just one but more plants.
But if anyone has any ideas they think could make it better. I just love spongebob lol

Also the only size of argos play sand i can find is 15kg and thats way to big lol

Hi. I have the same size tank as you (64l),

i brought the argos play sand also, it only comes in 15kg, you will have around 5kg left over like me.
You can save that for a future tank.

It will make alot of difference!

True but my dog doesnt dig lol i will try maidenhead for zambezi first then go to argos

i think the tank looks bright and fun .. :good: sponge bob rocks ..

my 1st tank the 64litre fish pod was also alot of bright colours and artificial gravel ,artificial decs and i loved it so did my fishes as they were always spawning in there and it was a very peaceful community ..

then went with the planted tanks with sand etc ..my fishes wreacked havoc ..had a whale of a time chewing my plants ,kicking up the sand .getting all teritorial .

although nearly all my tanks are sand n well planted and now little fishy havens of near tranquility lol ..i still have a soft spot for my fun tank ..

you can always have 1 with sand .ps my plants rooted well in the blue gravel esp the grasses ,

I personally don't like it, its fine if its for kids, but I just think there's something cliche about all the spongebob squarepants stuff, I'm glad you haven't gone as far as others and put the figures in it aswell, which you commonly see on youtube. Then again, my tank has a sunken car in the middle that blows bubbles. its all down to personal choice.

I think if you maybe put in a different more subtle type of gravel and not as bright as the other stuff, it will look better and maybe remove some of those plastic plants in favour for real ones.

On another note,
I'm on a model railway forum, and there can be some people who can be extremley 'anal' about things saying certian stuff shouldn't go in that place, that model is 2mm too long etc, discouraging others. So I go by one motto (feel free to adapt to aquarium terms) "I built it so I'll run anything I like"

IBISI - RAIL for short

so as long as you are happy with it, go for it
