Tank Decor

The decor will distract the viewer from the main focal point -> the fish!

Also, how big is the tank? Seems like all the decor stuff will reduce the amount of swimming space for the fish.

bin the crap gravel for playsand, keep the slate and plants, and even keep the pineapple house (i think its nice) but the rest has to go imo..unless its a childs tank

Get argos play sand for the tank if you are wanting to change to sand.

Yes 15kg will be too much for the tank but for the sake of about £2.50 you may as well keep the excess sand or even just throw it away

Personally the tanks not to my liking but its down to individual taste. You're the person that will be looking at it everyday so as long as you like it thats all that matters. I'm sure some fish will like spongebob

I prefer the natural look, sand, nice big piece of wood and live plants

I love it! Its so totally fake! I say keep all the bright colors for "Floyd" and just have a completely different tank for the grown-ups that's got a "natural" theme.

Just my 2 cents.. ~~waterdrop~~

All the negative comments are completely irrelevant if you like your setup. Dont forget that!
Not personally my cup of tea, however.. Dont change your tank for others only do it for yourself.

As long as your fish are happy it shouldnt matter

:good:

Will have a look next time im in lincoln at snad/zambezi.

the tank is about 60L apparently.

Will look at eventually get more plants, more natural looking. I posted to gain other people opinions cos im still new to the whole fishkeeping experience and i love it, but at the same time i want my fish to be as happy as possible.

Im thinking mb taller plants that they can swim through and something like java moss at the front and put some of the "fake" decor in my smaller tank or put to one side for later years (when i have more space for mor tanks:D )
