There's this betta thats not sold at work for 3 weeks now, it has an unusual tail and i was just wondering what it was and i know you guys/girls will know what it is (well i hope so )

normal size i think ive never really looked twice at it until yesterday and only really looked at the tail

no its different to the VTs we have, i've come to the conclusion after googling spade tail betta, it is indeed a spade tail!

are they rare?

not super rare, but not a commen pet shop find. I dont know how commen it is for breeders to have them though.

i've got my eye on a badly damaged crowntail that flares at everything hopefully he'll still be there by the time im cycled but knowing my look he wont

the reason i asked for body length is b/c a young male VT has a tail like this and some VT can take upto 6 months to grow their tails but also spade tails are not rare.
