ha no....this guys are VERY hard to sex however ive got good reason to belive it has something to do with there dorsal fins...or fins near them! if its more rounded i belive its female....however ive yet to notice the difference with my male and female, i only know whos the female due to her egg sack thing hanging out after she laid her eggs! she is the bigger one, i will see if its possible to sex them as they start to get older!

went to my fave LFS and saw this dude. im fairly sure i got a male he looks awsome!

honestly? he looks more like my female lol who knows maybe a post of id in the cichlid section would help?? im no pro here lol

i'm just going off the pointy dorsal, but yeah. i don't mind if its female i really like it. check out its blue eyes in the first pic they glow so bright!

hm very good point, i was going more by his body shape but looking at his fins, well lol either way g=hes a very good lookin chap! does he dig at all?

just to add to this...

ok i know the tank does not look its best....but it seems every time i try to clean the inside up of alge and such that a fry dies....so im going to let it just grow and only cut it down and remove it if it gets to bad.....but only if it gets to bad lol

well they was born on the 10th of october do so there not that old...couple months now?

well...there breeding again!!!! finaly! lol this time im going to let them deal with them...ive now only got 9 of the babys left....seems im a pretty crappy parent for them i will update with some pictures soon!! wait to you see how different the male is now....
