Surprised to see some kuhli snuggling this morning…

Of course no camera in hand… surprised because I initially put 3 tiny ones in this tank, a year or two ago, they moved into the basement ( 1 inch polished river rock ) and I only get a glimpse of one every couple weeks, to a month…
I tried looking for the thread a while back, I got a picture of a huge one, that looked like it was full of eggs… in the couple years since they were put in here, I’ve only ever seen one at a time, so I was starting to assume there was only one left… so it was a surprise to see 2 of them snuggling, at 1st light… I think the main light coming on, broke them up, so I hope they got done…
By the time I got the camera they had split up… but if you have a screen big enough, you may be able to make out the 2nd one moving into the Java fern to the left and above the one languishing after their trist…

I was just happy to see 2 of them at the same time…

Any updates to this? I have a bunch of kuhli loaches that I (almost) never get to see. I also assumed that there were none left, but once in a while I catch a glimpse. There is one with a distinct lack of stripes, so there must be at least two in there, hiding under rocks and drift wood.

I added some clown loaches some months ago. This might not have been a good idea, because the kuhli loaches seem even more shy after this.

no witnessed eggs or fry... my last picture I posted a little while back...

... embarking on new missions, to boldly go where no loach has gone before...

I have a few Kuhli's in my African tank, they were there, before this became Africa, they moved into the river rock, and aren't often seen, let alone trying to remove them... they came here as babies , and every one I've seen lately, are giant sized... this is the second time I've seen one here...
