It’s not too early to let all of you know what your favorite horror host has in store for you this weekend . This Saturday night Svengoolie is showing “The Black Cat” with Basil Rathbone , Alan Ladd and Bela Lugosi . Based on a story by Edgar Allen Poe it is sure to be a crowd pleaser . See you there !

I had to look that up to see what it was. I do not believe his facial hair is real.
That’s Rich Koz in his alter ego Svengoolie . The facial hair is grease paint like Groucho Marx used to do . You would never recognize Rich out of costume . He’s been doing his show out of Chicago , or more specifically , Berwyn Illinois for over forty years . It’s a lot of fun with him doing commentary on the movie , trivia tidbits and interviews with fans and stars both . He and his sidekick Doug Graves also do a musical interlude that is funny . And remember when you order his merchandise - No Personal Checks !

I'm watching..looks to be great movie...great reviews too...movie produced in 1934 ..almost 90 years ago

Not a bad movie. I recognized Broderick Crawford before Svengoolie announced who it was. Broderick Crawford and the antique dealer sidekick reminded me of Abbot and Costello with Crawford as Lou Costello.

Tonight on Svengoolie it’s the 1957 Roger Corman flick “The Undead” . A bit campy and not a zombie movie as you might expect . This is a tale of hypnosis to send a young woman into a past life in the Middle Ages where she turns the tables on her evil hypnotic tormentor . The gravedigger , Smolkin , and his songs are a treat . See you there !

Just so you fellow TFF Forum people know . None other than Svengoolie himself answered an e-mail I sent him about a question that @Fishmanic and I were wondering about . That just goes to show you the clout we have as a forum . Stars and celebrities are eager to help us .

Tonight on Svengoolie ! From 1957 it’s “The Monster That Challenged The World”. Weird mollusks emerging from the depths of the Salton Sea in California after an earthquake perplex the U.S. Navy and local law enforcement .

Tonight on Svengoolie . It Came From Beneath The Sea . This 1955 classic has the great stop motion animation of the legendary Ray Harryhausen . Throw in a paranoid military with a nuclear submarine and you’ve got a movie worth watching .

I didnt like when they added a half hour to the show to allow for more commercials. You can find some of the movies from his show on free streaming if you have a smart tv. But I do like the commentary and schtick on his show which does add interest to the movie.

That’s why you watch his show . For the Master Showmanship , wit and style that is Svengoolie . I love his corny jokes and self effacing humor . MeTV , AntennaTV and PBS are the only channels I get that have NO political ads. Anything to avoid those !

The movie It Came From Beneath the Sea showed several aquariums in it. Really well made movie.
