Stop PETsMart in their tracks!

Fresh Start, I hear what your saying but not many LPS know my dog's name. In addition, I never wait long in line and they make returns and exchanges very easy.

Well, you might not want to actually eat off the floor but you know what I mean.
LOL! Similarly, I have friends that keep their place so clean you could drink out of the toilet... but I wouldn't do that either!

your Petsmart doesnt have cats? mine has them but they dont sell them, they adopt them out.

Like I said, they don't SELL them. The ones they have belong to the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society. Petsmart donates the space hoping to find these poor animals a home.

im not going to sign this, i want all the animals there to suffer! muhahahahahahah! APRIL FOOLS!!!!! my petsmart is great, except their otos, i bought 3 2/3 died. like i said earlier, im not going to sign

if pet store met every fishes needs to the spec they wouldn't have a store big enough to have all the tanks and it would cost a fortune to run them then there would be no pet store and if the kept less fish then there wouldn't be enough different or total fish to make a living off ofi have never seen a pet store that doesn't have at least one overstocked tank and i sont think its that bad most of the fish r there for at tops a week and i am good friends with my lfs owner and he makes a fair bit a day in sales but if he didn't keep the fish in somewhat overstocked tanks he would make nothing because there would be barely any fish let alone a variety

It all depends on the store in question. My PetSmart sucks, but sometimes they get cool fish in which I know can care for, so i buy them. It's kind of annoying when I get home and pretend I'm some newbie who just bought some fish that has no chance of living, but I consider myself knowledgeble and I also like their 14 day guarantee.

i shop at petsmart also, have bought a few fish that have died but who hasnt, i would have to say that is theyre gonna stop petsmart from sellin animals than why not other pet stores whom have done the same thing in the past

The petsmart I went to was quite good. I didn't buy any fish there but my gfs brother bought 3 guinea pigs and they're all still alive to this day (and they were 10 bucks cheaper each than at petco)

I'd have to disagree. My PETsMART has a healthy variety of fish, all of whom are in good health. Maybe your PETsMART is just run by idiots  :dunno:
"Run by" is the key there... Most (not all of course, but most) of the grunt employees actually do care about the fish. Unfortunately, the people that run the store don't seem to share their employees enthusiasm. That's my issue with most big chains. The decisions about the quality of stock and care are made by people who interact with dollar signs instead of fish. Fortunately, I have other options available to me. I'm glad you've got one that's run well though... All the better for the fishies!

I can't sign either.

I just went to Petco for the first time about a week ago and I will NEVER buy any fish anywhere else. They had BPs that weren't dyed and I inquired about their policies. They will not sell any painted or dyed fish or the glo in the dark kind. Nothing man-done. Hybrids are different in their eyes as in mine too. Anyhow, back to topic......I can't sign :/ Their fish look REALLY healthy. They don't have 2000 feeders in a 30 gallon and they are really reasonable for tanks.

Good luck though

all three petsmarts that i go to are great, only on the rarest occations have i seen dead animals, and most of the staff seem to know what about the things their in charge of. So sorry i wont sign the petition
