Stocking Ideas (Edited: Now With Pics)

Thank you.

I will try to get some pictures of the 90 litre tank, but they probably won't be very good. The lighting in there is weird and when I take pics everything looks really bright. Like, it looks too bright. I'll try to get some pics anyway.

I don't have the gouramis yet and I don't know when I'll get them. I guess I will get them when I can convince my dad to take me to my LFS again. Lol.

But I'll be sure to keep everyone updated and get more pics soon.

Ur betta tank looks nice and planted (silks anyway ;) ) Bettas do prefer plenty of vegetation and your glo lights look very healthy :good:

the corries will suffer in your tank. gravel of that size will prevent them from doing what they are genetically designed to do - sift. no different from preventing a bird from flying. to have corries you need sand.

Sorry to need to correct that. Cories do not live in places that have sand. They live in muddy bottomed waters. We try to prevent erosion of barbels by using sand or smooth rounded gravel such as Ally555 has used, but neither one is really correct.

I'm glad you like the betta tank. I know my betta likes it. He loves playing hide-and-seek and exploring in and around all the plants. BTW if anyone has any name suggestions for him, feel free to post and tell me. I'm kind of stuck for a name.

My glowlights are fat. Well, they are fat when compaired with my 2 new glowlights. Lol. They've been in the fish store and need some fattening up.

I didn't know about the cory thing. Will mine be okay?

Yeah they should be fine as the gravel seem rounded. I hav a name for you to consider, 'Zakki' I think it spelled with double 'k' my cousin has that name.

genetically designed? more like adaption/evolution

what if the bird is a penguin?

Opaline/blue/3spot/gold gouramis are too big for 90l, so was the angelfish the OP was keeping before. I'd suggest a pair of thick lipped gouramis as nice friendly not too big additions.

Here are some pics of my 90 litre tank. (And a pic of one of my cories.) They are not the best pictures and as I've said the lighting is kind of weird. Everything looks more yellow than it actually is. But here are the pics anyway:

I hope you like them.

Nice tanks :good: and well done on thinking about your stocking :)

I noticed your filter is at the bottom? is it normally there?

Cories are fab, just keep an eye on the barbels, they may get worn down from the gravel.

Yeah my filter is at the bottom cos the little suction things on the back won't stick to the glass and it keeps falling off after a few hours. I got sick of sticking my hand in there to put it back up so I just kinda positioned it at the bottom. Lol. If anyone has an idea to make it stick on again feel free to tell me.

Also, does anyone have any other betta names?

Sometimes the suction cups don't stick right because you have a thin film on the glass. Try a good scrub of the glass and you may find the suction cups stick better. It will mean putting your hand in the tank because I don't think you can get the glass clean enough without a bit of pressure and some good scrubbing.
