looks like my family has found a tank, which makes me mad because i had to pay for my other ones!

anyway i havent seen the tank, but it sounds to be around 33 gallons long

i was just thinking of what to put in, something nice and showy, aka colourful and biggest i an put in that tank.

i wanted to make a nano reef, but thats too much work and money or me..

A pair of angelfish, or just one if a pair wouldn't fit well. Then some cory cats, maybe a school of harlequins or rummy-noses. Or a pair of convicts, if they'd fit well, but nothing else with them. Or some other cichlid... cichlids are awesome fish.

Pair of dwarf cichlids (rams, apistos), corys for the bottom, hachets or pencilfish for the top, shoal of tetras for the middle? Job done :good:

my mommy said that the tank is 33, since she believes its the same as mine, so that means...

nothing, because i am not allowed any more tanks :X

since the tank is at the "farm" and was found in a barn.. its in pretty rough conditions.. it needs new trimming along the top and is filled with cob webs, ewwww

we are probably going to keep the tank there. and my mom wants to put gold fish in it (because there is gold fish in ponds there and she thinks she will save them during the winter if we have a tank... sigh)

but i kinda wanted it to be heated because i dont want to re home my pleco to a store... do u think he will be fine in a non heated tank? (hes a common plec)

and i know i would be able to go out and clean the tank once a week, and he doesnt need to be fed everyday (and i could give him an algae tablet everytime i go..)

b ut he would be fine right? right?

A common plec will easily out grow a 33g. There are around 5 different species under the name "common plec" some getting to 24"+ in size, Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus the biggest reaches 28".

well, i dont want to give him to a pet store.. ill feel like a bad person

Why would it make you a bad person giving the fish a chance for a better home? Try advertising it on here and other sites then.

i've got 2 plecs that came with the 55gal that i rescued and they are about 9-11" and i'm in the same boat. My buddy used to have a 125 gallon that had nothing in it but 2 plecs and a flourescent tube over top, i swear both of them were 14-16". they were kind of cool to see swim around, but were kind of just big ugly things with long trails of poop dragging behind them.

yes they are poop machines indeed... but no one ever buys giant plecs from the stores... they just kinda.. end up living in smaller tanks
