Hiya im starting my new tank for the first time in many years. Just want to check that i have everything

I have 100 litre tank
fluval 3+ filter (no carbon filter inside just sponge)
Sand
150w heater (the tank is in a very very big room) Gets cold sometimes
Air pump but its weak my fluval seems to aireate the water when i tested it in the bath,

Im going to my LFS later today is there anything you recommend i buy, some people have told me about Safewater to remove to chlorine what starting off equipment would you buy?

Some things you will need include:

2 nets one small and one large
dechlorinator
thermometer
master test kit or ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH test kits.
brushes for cleaning filter, tubing etc.
possibly an algae scraper or brush
couple of buckets
gravel vac/syphon

Those are some things you will need to get started and maintain your aquarium. Also i would like to recommend that you do a fishless cycle as seen here as it will save the fish the stress of going through a cycle. Good Luck :)

Thanks Should i start my new tank On RO water or is that a bad idea?

I think plain tap water is better as RO water has no minerals which are beneficial for fish.

P.T.

ps: make sure your dechlorinator is also a dechloraminator. Both chemicals are now used in tap water
