hi all sorry again for posting again so quickly, but something terrible just happened

long story short, my fromia was decomposing so i picked it up with a tong, it slipped and got sucked into the powerhead, :unsure: notw all its pieces are EVERYWHERE!!!! its so gross :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :crazy: , all my corals retracted after that!!! the left over pieces is going to cause such a big ammonia spike!! what do i DOOOOOO!! water change? wat %? HELP PLEASE ASAP :blink: :sick:

try and fish out any bits you can and do a water change id go with like a 25% change now then another 25% in a few hours and then another like 5 hours later to be safe and watch your ammonia

Indeed, I would do a 50% water change, run some activated carbon as soon as possible - you will be suprised, the tank will probably cope better than you think, so don't panic

the only reason i siad 2 25 % ones is if he has a ro machine then it would be better to do 25 % in half the time then another half the time again so its a liitlle relief

if that makes sence

if not i mean
like

it would take say 2 hours for enough water for a 50% and only7 an hour to do 25% arr ive confused myself now lol
 
i got you. I was thinking they had RO water laying around in case of emergencies :)
