lost another one during acclimation and a couple of others looked rough. i'm not going to go into details because i'm still pretty bummed over it.

i'm going to dig around to see if i lost any more of them tomorrow; it's a bit early to muck around with water quality. the seller offered to honor their guarantee for the one lost in shipping, but if i'm down to just 3 fish, i'm going to see about getting discounted replacements--shipped USPS express this time.

other than that, these are the prettiest little catfish that i've seen in a long while. pity they're so determined that i never see them again.

I am about to just pull out all my hair over this one! I just finished emailing the seller that I wasn't going to get anymore plecs and would take the refund on the DOA, when I discover that I had another deady that I didn't realize! >.<

This is exhausting *and* expensive. I'm at 3 for (probably) $80 now... all because I let them sit too long in acclimation.

I was offered some L260s for $15 each and a replacement L66... If I can be reassured that there's no way the two would interbreed, then I might go for it... It's been such a pain to find plec-sellers on the west coast.

Im sorry pica, that is really a bummer to hear.

I hate shipping USPS especially priority, it is very unreliable, but people want it because it is so much cheaper than express.

Seller seems like a real nice guy offering to help you out even though it was priority. I hope your luck changes soon

Tell me about it - it's dreadful when that happens. Mortifying & very sad. I try not to do mail order anymore for that reason - but sometimes you don't have a choice. Depending on what I order and where they come from, I order a few extra just in case a few die
