snails!!!

anyone know a quick way to get rid of snails without using chemicals?
i took all the rocks out of my tank and scrubbed off millions of eggs then picked out over 90 snails!
theyre driving me mad
i thought they were cute at first...........

are you overfeeding...... just a question.... as far as i know and im not really sure but i think snails only multiply if the food is abundant, because if it isn't then the population of the snails would naturally balance out to match the food supply....

and also
how about loaches ?

Hi,

I had exactley the same problem, it got so bad that I had to keep on cleaning my filter as they just messed up my tank, I was even finding the snails inside the filter, and for the eggs it was ten times worse- soo icky- they seem horrible little critters always mooching about.

In the end I got 3 clown loaches- and have seen very little of any pest snails.

i heard that you should put a big piece of lettuce in your tank and the next day you will find a lot if not most of your snails on the lettuce. Try this a couple days in a row or with more than one piece of lettuce. clean off your plants and rocks too.
