Smallest Betta I Have Ever Seen, And Purchased! With Pictures!

I'd love to see this thread updated regularly. :) Would love to see it growing up. :)

Does it look her tail might be turning into a crowntail instead of veiltail?
Sorry, but not in the least bit.

She is stunning tho! This is certainly a topic to follow.

:good:

awww what a pretty little thing :good: She looks a similar size to some of my young betta, definately too little to be in a sale tank, its lovely that you brought her, she may well have starved in there.

When I got her she was thin and could barely swim or move, she was weak and had little color. Being she is young no wonder, bettas are lucky to be fed once a week at my LFS, she might have died in a day or two if I hadnt purchased her! Once I started feeding her twice a day it was like she had a new lease on life, within days as you saw here she greatly improved!

I tried taking a picture of her but the picture wasnt much different from the last, so i'll wait until the change is more noticeable.

Was able to get a picture when the stripes go away, the betta looks darker, in reality it's almost like a dark emerald green, and as you can see the fins are getting more blue in them!

  most certainly a nice purchase!

Well, the betta has changed a lot. Except for size (body size still smaller than my female betta!!!) But those colors, WOW, electric blue with some black now, a nice combo, the picture doesnt show how shiny it is! Only thing is, betta has never flared, not even with a mirror? My female never showed breeding stripes either to this betta.

I'll try tommorrow and hold a ruler up, but he/she moves so much now it will be hard to get an accurate measurement, but i'll try.

Tried to get a pic, this was the best I could do, looks to be a bit over an inch, pretty small.

Today the betta flared for the first time, the beard was red with black, but females can flare too, so not 100% if male or female yet, i'll have to wait and see if fins get even longer.

He has grown some more, and gotten more color, his head is turning red! He flares more now too!
