There seems to be unlimited choices for food, it gets very confusing.

Do they make sinking cichlid omnivore food? what's a good brand/type?

I know what you mean Skiltrip. I can find all kinds of floating pellets. But its hard to find any that sink unless you want to go with granules and that just looks like it would be way too messy.

Just wanted to report on some specific sinking foods i found for cichlids (and food for cichlids and other fish too). I found them at my local grocery store! A&P to be exact...

Wardley Slow Sinking Cichlid Crumbles
- actually sink pretty fast, so you can target who you want to feed and how much they get fed. I dropped one crumble at a time, and my Firemouth raced for it and got it.

Wardley Shrimp Pellets Formula - for all fish. sinks real fast. they are kinda big though i think. my firemouth isn't that big yet. he lunged for one of the pellets, and was chewing for quite a while. i might wait to use these till he's a little bigger, or break them into smaller pieces perhaps.

Now I can distract my barbs with regular flake food, while i drop my firemouth the Cichild Crumbles one at a time. :D
