I have an Azoo CO2 regulator off ebay. It came with a two-pronged power plug (Type-A on http://en.wikipedia....s_and_sockets).

I have a "Tourist" travel adapter model JF022w but it states on the back DOT NOT use earthed (grounded) appliances with plugs [...] opposite; earthed appliances can ONLY be safely used with the "Tourist" if plugs [...] are fitted to your appliance.

There's a series of figures and this Type-A is very similar to one one it says not to use the adapter with. Question it, how do I know if the appliance is earthed or not? I thought it was all in the plug. Forgive me, I'm none too good with earthing and plugs!

Thanks,

James

just chop the plug off and put an EU one of job done :good: don't worry if there is no earth just connect live and neutral

yep dont worry about the earth on something like that, you can tell if they are earthed because there will be 3 wires inside the insulated wire and not just 2, i agree with the above though, a plug is like 50p, just chop off the old one and wire on the new one!

Your plug has two prongs (the type A) you refer to here One is Live, the other neutral. You are quite safe using it with the adaptor you are describing.

If the plug looks like type F, then you need an adaptor that can connect to earth.

The safest bet , as mentioned above, is to fit a UK plug. If you have the type A plug, then you'll find that you do not have an earth to connect anyway!
