Silver Doller Fish

Hi All, I am a new member of this Forum, just joined up today.

I have been having fish tanks as a hobby for over 10 yrs.

Recently I bought 4 Silver Dollers and after a cpl of weeks in the tank they lost all their fins. I used Melafix and Pimafix on the tank.

Two of them have managed to grow back but not completely.

I had other fish in the tank but all of them died due to high temps over the summer when the bush fires happened. The Silver Dollers survived.

I just want to find out how I can help the Dollers grow their fins back.

Any advise I can get is much appreciated.

I would carry on with the melafix and maybe stresscoat as a water conditioner. Can't think of anything else apart from regular water changes. Hope you get on ok.

Tank size/water stats?

Plenty of water changes and varied diet.

I have 6 silver dollars but have not had any problems like that but they dont seem to grow very fast.
