So, I finally put Sori in his 'sick' tank today, which is just a wee little 1G bowl....I put it right next to my monitor, at my desk. He spends all his time examining whatever I'm eating or typing.

He almost seems calmer and happier. He's not clampy and afraid, like the first time I put him in there. He's nosing around, eating, and when he's bored, he rests in the swell of the bowl and kinda examines me. Oo If I didn't know better, I'd say he prefers sitting next to me at the desk. And whenever I'm maxed out on my studies, he and I make eyecontact and mouth at each other. Normally, in his tank on the other side of the room, he spends all his time with his nose in the corner, as if he's trying to swim over to me (that one, she feeds me! must move toward!)

This isn't exactly a post to boast or plea for help. Possibly too chatty a post.

He was in a planted 2.5 Gallon right next to my bed. For all its size, it almost seemed like he spent most of his time with his nose pressed against the glass in the right hand corner.

It contained a few little clumps of java fern, a sprig of ivy (really healthy, lots of new leaves, no roots, how odd), a pothos leaf for him to play with (it's getting pulled, its 'play' value is droping and it's beginning to mush up), and a jar. Whenever he swam into the jar, I felt the urge to pull the whole thing out and say, "ah hah, got you."

He'll probably go back into the 2.5G when I've got his finrot under control, I'm just surprised that he seems so... I don't know, happy, to be sitting there in the 1G instead of the 2.5G. The temptation is high to leave him in the 1G now, but I think it'd be better for him to be in the 2.5 (once the 2.5 is totally salt washed, and his finrot is under control).

Maybe I won't put him in the 10G next month, after all.

(I seem to like parenthesis today.)

Hmm...
Why don't you want to leave him in the 1G? :)
If he seems to like being by you - maybe that's where he should be.
What if you tried moving the 2.5G tank by your computer?
Maybe he just likes to watch you doing thisn all day long - he maybe likes the activity?

I'm debating both options, at the moment. He really loves being 'where the excitment is', I think.
