Recently my midas hybrid, who I suspect to be half sweetheart blood parrot, has developed one small black spot on his left side and one on his dorsal fin... the one on his side showed up while he was at the pet shop (I returned him for a short period of time, then got him back,) but the one on his fin has just appeared within the last couple of days.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I've heard of blood parrots getting black spot disease and was just wondering if I should be worried? He acts perfectly healthy aside from the spots... maybe he has just decided he wants to be calico? -_-

Hello,

I could only assume that it is black spot disease which further closes the case of What Your Parrot Is.......sheesh that was a horrible thread.

Thanks for the link! I don't think I'll treat it unless it gets much worse... it doesn't seem to be bothering him at all. I guess if it is indeed black spot, it gives a pretty big clue about the species of his parents, eh? :p

Yay, the spot on his fin has already disappeared
