Just sat down to watch TV and noticed we'd not seen our Norwegian Forest Cat queen for a while, then heard the little meow of a kitten ;) - looked behind the TV and instead of being a few weeks until her due date she'd had two healthy big bruisers

I'll get some pic's when I brave running out to the car to find the camera....

Look forward to Pics of the Kittens

I would think she has been with a tom before you thought she had,Are the kittens pure NF cats

I was just going to say that Graham, there might be a local street moggy going round with a big smile on his face ;) I find it hard to believe you could be 2 weeks out on dates with a planned mating.

Well they are pure NF's - we had one of our boys neutered and thought we where safe... but studs can still be fertile for upto six weeks after netuering - as he was being bullied though we let him into the living room where our queens live after 3 weeks - on the first night we saw them mating but thought the risk was low.

Evidently he was very fertile even though he was only 6 months when he was fixed :).

Still two lovely little wegies.

Picture of the two kitties - one day old now and both are doing well (in fact they look to be a couple of days overdue). Both have very full stomachs and an attentive mommy :)

Another cute piccy

 Aaaw, what beautiful little surprises. They are too gorgeous. Congrats. Beautiful pics.

:D

Introducing Alfons... (most white)

They're certainly a beautiful pair - and just two of them is an ideal size for a queen's first litter :)

And finally Telvinken... (most red)

Certainly will keep people posted with their progress.... this has probably been the most trouble free of all the births our cats have had between them :good:

LOL - nice try! Sorry, just couldn't get over how much Alfons looks like he has Dodge markings. It's a sign (of what I'm not sure). If, as he grows, he decides he's the only male cat on the planet to want to nurse babies and pretend to come into season (as Dodge did, despite being a neutered male), then we *really* know it's a sign. Also if he moos rather than miaows. Dodge was (is?) an odd one.

Both boys...

Both the kittens and mom are doing really well- if anything too well - by the size of the full kitten-stomac's I wouldn't be suprised if they don't explode ;)
