Note it is not advisable to mix the different fish; I.E. if you have a RTBS it is not a good idea to add a flying fox etc.

is it worth doing any more of these lists? :look:

Hi Wolf, I was just wondering where you get your sizes from. Im not saying there wrong or anything like that I was just wondering :D .

I think that size lists like this can be as important as species info sheets, its all well and good buying a nice fish thats cute and peaceful but not if you later find out it will out grow your tank.

I find 3 or four sites that have the fish listed, such as badmans, fishbase, mongo bay etc.
If three match, IE if three sites aggree I go with that. if all are different I look further.
If I still can't find a consise size I go for the most common size stated.

I will always change any size I've listed if at least one person has personal evidence of it being bigger/smaller;
as in the yoyo loach, myself and GL has speciamines at or around 8" when the max listed most places is 6"

Ah Right, I was just wondering like I said earlier, I was a judge for the North East Federation of Aquarists before it folded a few years ago and we had a size book that covers as many fish as we could manage and it gave a size which was considered full grown size. We regularly checked our sizes with the AofA, FBAS and Yorkshire Federation and others. Some of the info will be a little out of date as there have been name changes etc since our last size book was printed.

I wondered if it might be worth trying to copy the size book and if it would be worth posting. I didnt want to step on anybodys toes so to speak -_- .
