Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I've had my ct Sam for a few months now, but over the last week I have noticed his tail looking a bit shaggy and some of the tips of his fins have curled. Does this look like fin rot? or do you think he has maybe tearing it on something in the tank?

Thanks for any help :)

it looks fine to me!
i think(correct me if im wrong??) a crown tail type?

not finrot, i think its just funny growth. my ct is like that too at the ends. a while back someone on here said its normal just an imperfection

I've heard it comes from hard water...I don't think it can be fixed, but it doesn't effect the betta in any way..

one of my boys fins grows like that. i chalk it up to genetic deformity (not hard water as i have very soft water)...absolutely no indicaation of ill health...its just how some fish grow their fins.
cheers

I would say it is due to genetics! Just keep an eye on his behaviour and eating if still worrried but think he is fine and looks gorgeous!
