Anyone in south yorkshire got a male green severum spare? lol I wanna help out my laying ladies!

my littlee juvie green sev is starting to colour up a touch now. it shows more than it does in this pic he is very camera shy the anal fin is taking on a deep orangey browny reddy kind of colour starting to get blueish along top of dorsal fin and the gills are starting to green up a bit with a black spotty patern developing up the sides. and still only about 2 inches.

Lol rub it in , found some in my LFS but were way too small

well it looks like you have another member, i picked up a pair of 2-3 inch Green Severums on the weekend, what fantastic little fish! they have so much personality

its great fun watching them chase chunks of pea around the tank.

hey minxy i just been looking thru aquarists classifieds to try and find some nice tapajos and i saw a cichlid importer/dealer selling red spotted sev like ours @5" for £75!!! mines around 6" now and even if i say so myself a dam fine specemin ( biased lol ) awesome colour and not a single mark/blemis no fin damage either. but i could never sell him not for any price

Wow my LFS has them bout 4" for £25!!

Any pne know what this strange protusion might be on my gold sev?

thought it sounded expensive lol paid £17.95 for mine at around 3 " not sure on your pics couldnt make it out

Paid £18 for mine at 2" ish and he's beautiful, with you mate, wouldnt swap him for anything.

yep thats why i decided to go with geos instead of discus. i adore discus but not at the expense of my sevvy.
