I lost one of my L182's by this (or at least that is what i think caused it?!)

I'm not sure, its almost as if the gill on one side has been pulled out a bit so that the gap is relatively big

Is the co2 off? I would try and oxygenate the water as much as possible. Worth a go.

no its been on today, have switched it off for tomorrow as its on a timer. she is atleast swimming about but breathing very rapidly

is the surface of the water rippling? If not then raise your filter outlet.

Bad news female didn't make it, so will need get a new one... I'm guessing it would be best to get a more mature female than a juvenile as the male will proberly pester the hell out of the new female.

Have planted the tank, will maybe get some more plants tomorrow and take some pics....

Some really cool news finally have Ram eggs a nice tanned colour so am guessing they are good, not sure if they are from today or yesterday as they have been in hiding for a bit!! but the male is not moving from the eggs and the female is chasing everything away so am hoping I have good parents... any advice on what I should do? I'm going to leave the eggs/fry with the parents... what food do I need to buy? I know they wont need any for a few days....

Eggs hatched 100+ fry that lasted untill today before the Cardinals had a feast due to carless female!!! bit gutting but hopefuly they will spawn again in the near future... really need to get back concentrating on the plant side of things again as lost nearly all hc due to CO2 issues which will hopefully now be sorted and have so much algae its unreal!!!
