Safe To Use Another Medication?

After using about 168mg Fluke-solve for aquariums on my tank (which can take up to 50 litres, and I realised I only had 42 in there...) on the 13th January, I'm considering trying out Chanaverm (which contains Levamisole Hydrochloride, not just base Levamisole like I first thought). Question is, is it safe to go ahead and use the Chanaverm without fully clearing out Fluke-solve? They are completely different medications, and contain different antibiotics (Fluke-solve contains Praziquantel), and the main website does state that Fluke-solve should get the job done if no major water changes are done for four weeks (it's not one of those remove-as-quickly-as-possible meds, although I do conduct 8-10 litre changes once a week). It is also my understanding that after treating with any Levamisole-based product, a large water change should be conducted anyway, not least because it helps remove any paralysed parasites.

So...no one? The company that manufactures the products advised to wait a little longer if I can, and that a couple of water changes would help. I can't wait too long, though. They also confused me when they advised no water changes for about seven days after dosing with Chanaverm, but said a major gravel clean was a good idea - won't I be removing water when siphoning the gravel, though? That seems to defeat the purpose on no water changes, but then it has to be done to deal with any paralysed parasites passed by the fish...

I personally i use the waterlife range. They dont harm your bio filter fish or plants, they work really really well and you can change waterlife meds after 24 hours as they are highly biodegradable. Fantastic products I would never use anything but.

Oh, neither do Fluke-solve or Chanaverm. Only thing with Chanaverm is, if I am right about what my fish have (and one of the alternatives isn't so appealing), water changes are vital to remove paralysed parasites. That's what I hate about that treatment...very large water changes can stress fish out. Looks like 2x15 litre removals over two days might work better, replaced with 11 litres each time, and then the difference made up for on the third day.

Im guessing you have gill flukes. Waterlife sterazin kills gill flukes like a charm. I wouldn't want to use any med that stays in the water column for 4 weeks and advises against water changes. Iv had gill flukes and have destroyed them effortlessly with Sterazin. No big water changes, nothing out my normal routine.

A quote from my 1l Waterlife Myxazin bottle...

"Do not use simultaneously with other medications. Allow at least 48 hours to elapse when changing treatment. Do not use within 4 days of using Protozin or Cuprazin."

Sorry 48 hours not 24 my bad. Even still

I've already treated for gill flukes with Fluke-solve, but it's the wasting that is the main issue. There are two main culprits of that - either tapeworms (cestodes, which Fluke-solve also deals with, require an intermediary host - I'm not too certain that I have any copepods, and I don't have any sails) or a bacterial infection (of the latter, fish Tb is a possibility). Chanaverm treats for tapeworms (nematodes, another type that do not require an intermediary host). I should supposedly see them if any fish pass them, and if I don't see any...

*Bump*

Rather than start a completely new thread, I'll ask here. Dosed with the Chanaverm last Saturday. Now, is it safe to use Nutrafin Aqua Plus while there is another medication present in the water? I did a 10 litre water change last Sunday/Monday (combined, it was 7.5 on Sunday and 2.5 on Monday), and a 15 litre change today, so the Chanaverm will be diluted now. Still, doesn't hurt to ask.
