it sells bettas for fighting. its actually selectivly breed some so that they will be good fighters in battle! Thats horrible. It also does sell other non fighter ones, but I do believe that they called some Deltas HMs.

I'm going with 55, those fighters are treated better then all of our bettas, and bettas want to fight. It's not like they are thrown together and have no other choice, if the choice was theirs that's exactly where they would be

I think it's okay to spar them if it's done correctly and with respect for the fish. Problem is though, you can't tell who's going to respect the art of fighting and who's doing it just for kicks.

There's been occasions when I've wanted to take out the divider and see what happens. I'd like to see if my boys are as tough as they act.

but these arent ones in Thailand, theyre shipped to US and Canada, and ammatures get ahold of them and fight them for kicks. Its not professional at all. And the bettas are put there and made to fight. I personally think its bad.

Other people have posted about fights and everyone seems to agree that its bad on those ones, so why is it diffrent with these kind of bettas?

and one more thing

If I made a post saying "oh, I got some bettas and made them fight." so many people would would say alot of stuff about that.

If any of us were to go out and fight our bettas I think we would get the beat down. I believe the majority of us do not know how to properly care for these fish. Here's a thread you should read that shows some more opinions on "these" kind of bettas.

Yes I must agree with rykitten sometimes they seem like they wanna take eachother from the fin. But I cant release them I would feel bad...

they do it in thailand(sp) its their culture. if the jerks in us and all over want to spend 10+ on a fish then kill it i say let em waste their own money.

it killed the betta, but its not like I actually did, just wanted too, and after all this time I cant believe that someone would bring that up. These people actually injure the fish.

that is not wrong at all. he is a reputible breeder who sells great fish. even though most people here dont believe in fighting our fish, those fish are breed to fight. not only do you not understand that this happens in most likely every city in the US(generalization i dont meanEVERY city) you also got against his HM lines. where it says "HM geno", those are the fish that carry the HM genotype so if you breed them you get HMs. atison is well known and treats his fish very well. please dont say something is "horrible" if you just dont agree or understand it.
