how big do they get?i'm lookin 2 get one after my new tank has finished cycling. i've also heard dat they are territorial and that this is only towards other sharks. is this true or are they just mean to anything?
The RTBS can get up to 6" but normallly stops growing at 4 1/2" to 5". They will be very aggressive to other sharks. They are more mild mannered with other fish depending on aqaurium size. I have one in a 35 with tiger barbs and danios. He is a beautiful addition to the tank. Most of the time he just patrols in sharklike behavior. Awesome fish to have in my opinion.
I have been owned by a rtb and they are great.
How big is your tank? Rtb can get up to 6". They are also very territorial and should never be put in with other rtb or ruby sharks...especially in smaller tanks.
They can be aggressive towards other fish but if you get something fast like Danios or Tiger Barbs etc. you shouldn't have a problem. Never put a rtb in with long finned fish.
I have a 4" RTB shark and he/she is a stunner, But they are very territorial and at times mine does chase nearly everything in the tank, But when fed high quility foods they look great and they are a great addition to an aquarium.
