Red Rainbowfish Colours

When will they colour up? I bought them last week and they are a pinky brown colour still.

Shall i feed them some blood worm?

Hey there,

Mine started to colour up after approx 6 months, normally they should reach full colouration after 12 months.

From my experiences blood worms won't make them colour up, it's more mood dependent. From looking at your pics some of them already look like they have good colour.

Their color will intensify as they age. They look to be coloring up nicely from the picture.

They are very brown/pink no hint of red on them at all,I think that pic does them more justice than they actually are lol!

They are about 3.5" at the mo (around double the size of my Bosemanis which they shoal with) one is alot more 'hunch back and fat' than the other 2,i take it thats the male?

One seems to be going a orange colour now,completley diff to the rest
