Cycling doesn't just magically happen in a few days or even a coupld of weeks. It takes a minimum of 8 weeks just to get the first batch of bacteria in, the one that makes ammonia into nitrite. Then, another couple of weeks for the bacteria that turn nitrite into nitrate. Then it is cycled. It took me almost 10 weeks to cycle my 20 gallon.

You are in a fish-in cycling. The ammonia the fish produce isn't going anywhere, and is burning their eyes, gills, and skin and is killing them.

Unless you are doing water changes every single day to ensure ammonia levels stay down, you are not cycling the tank properly.

Again, I urge you to read the whole beginner's section.

Do you even have a testing kit?

I own an ammonia test kit and some chemicals that get rid of nitrates nitrites and ammonia

Is it a liquid or strip test? Strip tests are notoriously inaccurate.

What chemicals? What brands?

Look dude it is midnight and I'm not prepared to go digging through my cupboard of fish tank equipment

Then maybe you're not prepared for the big responisiblity of fishkeeping.

It takes a lot of time and patience to enjoy this hobby properly. You need to check the stats of your tank, cycle it properly, and research about the tank size your fish need before putting them in tiny little tank. Fishkeeping is harder than you think. The tank isn't cycled, the fish you own need a bigger tank and more of their own kind, and the only problem you see right now is that you're too lazy to get up and see what chemicals you are using?

I'm trying to help you here, I'm giving up my free time to do so. All I ask in return is that you show me a little respect, as well as respecting the fish you own. It is your responisibility to care for these fish properly.

It's not that I'm too lazy.

I'm actually quite the opposite!
It's just that it is 12:30 am

You're complaining about the time, yet you're still up and awake, no less, on a fish forum?

I'm not 100% awake I am replying from a phone as I'm woken up by the email alert sound

You still need to tell me the chemicals you are using, and you are still not cycling correctly

I am cycling correctly my tank is all cycled and fine.

It is happily sustaining the 12 fish I own

Your tank is not cycled. Like I said, it does not magically happen over the course of a few days or weeks. It takes a minimum of 8 weeks just to get started.

Your tank is still massivley overstocked
