Red Cherry Shrimp

are shrimp okay with endlers and guppys?

Im sure that these shrimp will be fine with Guppys as long as a) the shrimp were adults and b) the female guppys were not toooo large. Most fish will eat shrimp if they can get them into their mouths therefore providing lots of cover with Java moss/Java fern etc will greatly increase their survival. Guppys natural food in the wild as you will know are mozzy larvae and a young shrimp would fit this description in the eyes of a hungry Guppy..!

Hope this helps.

do you send by 1st class royal mail, or special next day delivery?

I use 1st Class Royal mail. I post at lunchtime and they arrive at some point next day depending upon when your postie comes round. The package will fit through a letterbox so no need to be present or have to visit post office to collect.

what would postage be like to aberdeen?

can these be put in a fry tank?

cheers

Postage to Aberdeen would not cost any more than sending locally actually however it may take longer - perhaps another night in transit and I really dont know what the effect on the shrimp would be in this case. Ive sent a few packages out this week and all but one have been received next day and in good shape. The one dodgy posting suffered a catastrophic failure at the hands of Royal Mail (they have admitted fault) and only one shrimp survived but otherwise so far its been a complete success. Im prepared to send you a batch but be prepared for DOA's......probably not worth it.

Fry would be fine with these guys - Adult shrimp are around 1" - the babies however are really tiny and almost any free swimming fry would eat them - they grow rapidly though and breed well too.

kool, well wont be for a wee while anyway so will get back to you and maybe see about next day delivery or something

thanks for just now though

Any ideas how long until next lot will be ready? :)

Amy
To be fair I really didnt bargain for this level of demand.....!

looking at the reserve list you are 2nd in line for a batch - I now have another 9 postings reserved - but Im taking 12 Malawi fry this evening in exchange for shrimp and I also need to courier another 100 to a shop in the Midlands. If I am to get your order out quickly (and others) I need to hang fire for approx 4 weeks in order to replenish my stock. I am setting up another 4 shrimp tanks in my fish-house at the weekend in order to expand the operation. Rest assured that I have you on the list and I promise to contact you - and the others - when Im in a position to mail some more out.

Kind regards

I often send Malawi fry out by Royal Mail special delivery - next day pre 1pm. I dont aim to make anything on postage and I charge a tenner - this covers the £8.60 postage, a Poly fish-box, 30hr heat pack, bag buddy, bags/rubber bands, tape etc.
This package is considerably bigger than the 1st class package and therefore I will be able to offer you many more shrimp in the same package.
