Raphael catfish turning red!!

Hello - my Raphael catfish is turning red and acting really weird! What could this be? I did a big water change and my filters were disgusting. So gave those a good cleaning.

I didn’t test the water before hand. But I have 2 and they both look sick. And the other one is hanging up at the top of the tank near the heater.

I added melafix, pimafix and aquarium salt.

Can't see the fish

When catfish or eels go red, it's just about always caused by poor water quality and a dirty filter.

You have cleaned the filter so that is good. you did one water change, which is also good. Now do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week. Clean under the rocks and ornaments too.

You don't want any chemicals in the water unless you know what the problem is and this is most likely from water quality.
