I love peppers! I grow a bunch. I have dozens of pepper plants this year, all of them are extremely hot varieties except for a couple jalapeno plants.

That pepper in my avatar was the first ripe pod of the season. I love my Naga Morichs. They may not be my hottest, but they are definitely my most prolific.

Long story, but I am probably the mellowest and most approachable person you'll ever meet.

My wife just said, "it's because you're bulging with what COULD be muscles.

Watching the moon, Saturn and Jupiter with my daughter through her $15 clearance telescope. 90x no name brand refractor, so I guess for $15 it isn't bad. One of these days I'll pick her up a decent refractor and reflector so she can see the rings of Saturn and some deep space stuff.

So one of the little deformed Carolina Reaper pods ripened. It was only a little bigger than a marble so I popped the whole thing in my mouth. Instant regret. I forgot how ridiculously hot these things were.

Neither my hot peppers nor my tomatoes did diddly squat this year. Most of them are the same size as when I set them out in May. I'm not sure why; I usually grow some really good serranos and thai chilis. We're probably going to frost tonight, so they're about done.

I like to carry a few Thai chilis when I'm elk hunting or trail running. Popping one of those babies at the bottom of a big climb gets me to the top a whole lot faster!
