Guys, yesterday, I was listening to the radio, but then it turned of. I tried to turn it on. Later that night, I felt a hand rest on my shoulder, and I kept feeling gusts of cold air. The window was not open.:oops::oops:

In all seriousness though, our minds are complex and they can play some weird tricks on us. Obviously the radio turning off was not a figment of your imagination but I have felt cold for no reason, or it feels like I was touched when no one was around... It is definitely strange

I read some more of that book "Making Bombs For Hitler"...
Something interesting happened that shows how quickly a person can change.
So the girl, Lida is only 9 years old and lied about her being 13 so she wouldn't be called useless and sent off to the "hospital" (case you don't know the hospital is where they basically murder people. Test weapons). Everyone under 12 was to be executed there.
But Lida lied under the direction of a boy she met on the train.
Because of that the officers found her VERY useful for sewing and laundry work.
Well there was a girl named Juli she met. She was a prisoner but she was from Poland and therefore got treated better than Lida who was Ukrainian.
She got way better food.
First time they met Juli basically made fun of her and treated her horribly because of the place she is from. Ukraine was considered part of Russia. Ukraine was not even recognized as a real country by the Nazis.
The next day Lida and Juli are on lunch break and they are the only ones in the Cafeteria.
Juli asks to sit where she is and Lida accepts....
Lida then sees blood on the cuffs of Juli's sleeve and she is staring at Lida while trying to hold tears in.
She apologizes to Lida for the other day then asks her: "Where do you work?"
To which Lida replies: "I work in laundry and sew. What about you?"
Juli then says: "You have the peaceful work... I work in the hospital..."
Take note, Lida doesn't know what they do in the hospital. All she knows is that people say it's not a good place and that a group of children she knew were all sent there.
So Lida asks: "What do they do in the hospital?"
And Juli just stares at her and tells her to just eat eat...
Lida then tries to get more info asking: "You were there, did you see the group of kids that went in? Are they ok?" Juli fought harder to hold it together and told her that it's not a good thing to talk about while eating.
Then Juli says: "I would share my food with you but I'd then get shot. Please understand."

It's my belief, while not directly said in the book that Juli had to clean up after the deaths in the hospital. She had to clean up the mess... And these were only children. The same children she made fun of because of their nationality.
Probably caused a big shift in her outlook on what the Nazis were really doing.
She was from Poland and Polish people were treated way better due to the fact that their country was allies with Nazi Germany.

Interesting how quickly someone can change like that. Going from all smug to actually feeling bad for the people you used to hate...
So sad reading this book. Really is. Much more intense than "Words On Fire". But that one will still always be my favorite book.
