Speaking of the dead (or frozen) ...

I carved off a piece of frozen brine shrimp to feed my fish and left a few grams on the cutting board rather than put back in the bag/freezer.

Came back an hour later, looked almost exactly like the Blob, pretty scary.

Yeah, frozen and freeze dried foods can be pretty scary looking when they thaw out/rehydrate. The brine shrimp I have look cool in the water, though. They turn back into normal looking (but very dead) brine shrimp. My fish were raised on live copepods and water fleas, so I like to think the brine shrimpies bring back good memories of the simpler days of their youth.
