Yeesh, that is unfortunate.

I know Fluval lights are waterproof.

It seems like I can’t afford all these water proof lights!

Welp, I’m going to continue using this one

I was doing water change on the saltwater tank and the 220v light fell into the water, I got electricuted by the light, fell to the floor and got electricuted again for 4 seconds, the worst experience of doing water change!

My left arm is still pain from that!

Is there any brand that makes water proof light?
Were you wearing thongs (flip flops for the yanks) on your feet?
Decent rubber thongs on your feet should help insulate you from the ground and stop you being zapped.

If you bolt or secure the light above the tank it shouldn't fall in. Otherwise remove the light unit from the tank before doing water changes. You should also turn off heaters and power filters off before you do a water change. Just make sure you turn them back on afterwards.

I'm glad you are alive, but you should make sure someone stays with you for 24 hours to make sure there are no major complications from being shocked. Most of the time people are fine but sometimes being electrocuted can cause heart problems that can affect the person a few hours or even days later. They don't have to spend every moment watching you for the next 24 hours, but try to remain around people or have them check on you regularly.

Try to minimise your activity for the rest of the day.

If you feel sick or have any chest pains or bruising, headache, problems with your eyesight or hearing, cramps (mainly in arms or legs), tingling sensation, muscle spasms, fits, or your get a weird/ irregular heart beat, go see a doctor immediately.

But you are young and healthy so you should be ok. I have been zapped plenty of times and I'm completely messed up, but not from being electrocuted. :)

Wow! I'm glad you're okay!

This isn't really big enough to make a thread on, so I'm putting it here. Who else no-life's this forum? I'm addicted. I go to sleep thinking about the forum and wake up thinking about the forum. As pathetic as it is, it's one of the only reasons I still get up in the mornings lol.

I've already got a boyfriend actually, haha.
That's just the movie quote that always comes to mind when people say things like this.

But seriously...the forum is great, but don't forget there's a world out there, and it's pretty amazing.
