R.i.p. Elan

Tonight, my favorite male betta, Elan, lost his battle. I'm not sure what caused his sickness.... He started off having a hard time eating, then stayed in his corner... He passed away this evening, in the past few hours. I just found him as I was feeding everyone. He joined my family on December 2nd,2011. He was spawned on August 18, 2011. He was a beautiful young betta, and he had such an amazing temperament. So, I love ya Elan, and I'll miss ya.

I had to euthanize my yellow HM betta last Friday.

It really is... I think I'm nuts though with this next thought: I see a lot of bettas are having eating problems lately? Stupid idea, but, could it be connected? Doubt it because of widespreadness but just my insane ramblings..

Try switching the food,

I tried Everything - he just couldn't eat. Kept missing and eventually gave up and wouldn't leave the corner. None of the others in the (divided) tank are showing any effects

I'm ashamed to admit it, but it was something that was easily preventable. I figured out what killed him. He got ich. I didn't notice because he was hidding in the back the entire time... I'm now dosing the entire tank
