Quid?

Quid is latin for WHAT, a question in itself, explains it all :rolleyes:
 
before this gets closed, let me add
Quid is short for quiddity which, in 1539 when the term was first used, meant the real essence or nature of a thing.

it has nowt to do with quid (latin) which means 'what?'
 
there are still pound notes up here,and after 3 yrs i still mix them up with the fivers , pain in the bum they are
and i call pound "quid" too
